SOUTH BOSTON, VA (March 1, 2024) -- Recently, several team members of the Cluster Springs Volunteer Fire Department who regularly support motorsports programs at South Boston Speedway participated in a full day training at the facility.
Members worked alongside the South Boston Speedway Track Services team to continue to refine their skills as the Fire Department and the Speedway enter in another year of partnership.
"Our partnership with South Boston Speedway is entering its fourth year and continues to be of vital importance to our department," said Chris Hudson, Cluster Springs Volunteer Fire Department Chief. "Not only does our partnership provide a necessary service for the Speedway's events, it also allows our members more opportunities to practice their skills for when emergencies happen."
In 2024, Cluster Springs Volunteer Fire Department will continue to provide on-track, garage/pit area and ancillary emergency services at all events while also providing additional services at larger events at the facility.
